The Medical Services We Provide The HeartScan Electron Beam Calcium Score test will take only 10 minutes of your time and is painless and involves no injections.  The scan is performed using an Imatron C-150 EBT scanner that is approximately 10 times faster than conventional CT scanners.   No fasting or other special preparation is required. The Chest Scan involves scanning 55-65  thin 6mm slices through the entire volume of the lungs in a single 15 second breath-hold.  This test is usually recommended for smokers and requires a physician referral.  The images are interpreted by an expert board certified Radiologist.
