5/16/00: Association of Hostility With Coronary Artery Calcification in Young Adults: The CARDIA Study
 

 This study was performed by Kaiser researchers using the EBCS test at Heartscan San Francisco.  Psychosocial factors, including personality and character traits, may play a role in the development and expression of coronary artery disease.

2/3/00: High-tech heart scan gives early warning.  USA Today reports on  the heart scan: "Holding your breath for 20-30 seconds may save your life"  The article interviews several prominent cardiologists including HeartScan San Francisco's Cardiology Review Panel member Dr. Michael R. 1/25/00: A study performed at Heartscan Houston by Baylor School of Medicine researchers demonstrates that the EBCS-Heartscan is a powerful predictor of clinically important silent ischemia.  The study involved 3845 asymptomatic patient CAS scans and 411 stress SPECT scans.   The results are published in the January 25th issue of Circulation, the prestigious scientific journal of the American Heart Association under the title: Severity of Coronary Artery Calcification  by Electron Beam Computed Tomography Predicts Silent Myocardial Ischemia, page 244.  Click here to read the Abstract.
