Payment & Insurance Coverage The cost of an EBCS test at HeartScan-Houston is $495.  Payment is required at the time of service.  The cost of an additional chest screen is $350 if performed in conjunction with a Coronary Artery Scan.  A chest screen is $495 if performed separately. Payment will be required in the form of cash, check, Visa or MasterCard.  HeartScan- Houston will provide you with the necessary paperwork for you to file a claim with your insurance company for reimbursement. HeartScan-Houston is continuing to work with major insurance carriers in order to become a network provider in many different plans. Currently over 250 different insurance carriers in Houston have been billed for a Coronary Artery Scan and approximately 230 different plans have reimbursed on part or in full for this procedure. Since out of network costs, deductibles and plan payment vary, any questions you have about how much your particular plan will pay should be directed to your insurance carrier. You are also responsible for any pre-certification or pre-authorization that is required by your particular plan.
